Tammy Project Bag Blog Hop....

yeppeeee....Today is the first day of the Tammy Project Bag Blog Hop and I can finally show you the adorable project bag Mdm Samm designed!

Let me introduce...Tammy !!!

This was the first time I ever sewn a bag this style ...I never used metal handles before either. After reading the instructions a couple of times the "lights" finally went on in my head on how to sew it  (You would think with the 71 pages in the instructions the "lights" would of came on sooner ! I think it was one of those days where the brain just wasn't working because the next day when I sat down to sew...it all made sense ...don't you just love when that happens ?)

I was really surprised how big the bag was when I was done ( 8 " x 9") ...I thought it was going to be a tiny project bag but it is big enough to carry all kinds of supplies...the outsides are loaded with pockets for those items you need all the time ...in my case scissors & a seam ripper !

...and a few threads...

The inside has a couple more pockets...I added a Snap to them. You can't tell from the pictures ( its hard taking pictures of insides of bags) but the inside is really big since it bellies out the more you put in it.

Mdm Samm added ruffles to her pockets...I decided to go with red rick rack.

Don't you just love the metal frames ...reminds me of days gone by!

If you enjoyed my version of the Tammy Project Bag...be sure to check out the other Bloggers...Grab a big cup of coffee and start hopping ! I am sure there are going to be lots of beautiful bags ...Its going to be a wonderful week !

  25. Liz, the fabric you chose is wonderful for the sewing bag. I love the addition of red rick rack next to the light colored trim.

The bag does seem to balloon out to almost a classic pear shape to hold a ton. While your frame has a way to add a strap if you wanted, looks like?

THX for sharing with us today!
