It's done.....

amazing buts its true...I finished quilting my Summer at the beach quilt...and I even sewed the binding on...it is completely done !! Yepee!!!
Summer can come !
I did the basic "quilting in the ditch" since I wanted it to stay fluffy ...and fluffy it is !
(the quilt isn't so wavy, the grass underneath needs to be cut )
Wish you could see how comfy and cosy it is ...like being wrapped by angel wings !

I am going to love taking summer naps in the garden with this quilt...heck...winter afternoon naps will also be nice !

I can't believe I actually started and finish a quilt in the same year ( baby quilts don't count...their little)

Katrin...you were right...it was easy to quilt, the hard part was convincing myself to tackle it!

Why do we always put off quilting the quilts ?? When they are done it is such a happy feeling !

Hugs,

P.S. Instead of a tradition label...I embroidered the info on the binding...this way the label can't be removed !

P.S: ...the Jelly roll ( ElliRoll) is from Irmgard's little shop
The quilt is 58" X 72" ( 148cm X 182cm)

  2. Hallo Liz,

  3. Good for you!!!! It's beautiful. Quilts always look so much different when quilted. Love your idea of doing the embroidery on the binding instead of the quilt.

Did I get it right that you now make you summer naps in the garden right now?

the Quilt is wonderful! And what a good idea to embroider the Label into the binding!

  7. Dear Liz,
your "summer at the beach" looks great. Unfortunately we have to wait and dream of summer.
But snow at christmas would also be nice...???
    Many, many hugs
