Everyday Tote bag & Giveaway ...

What does a Mother with 2 small children do in her spare time ( I'd sleep) ...she designs a tote pattern.
Help me welcome Emma from For my little Monsters into the designing world.
I was honored to test her first pattern the "Everyday Tote" ....
This is a fun easy tote to make, I love the big front zipper pocket, the inside also has a zippered pocket & a slip pocket....it measures approximately 11” tall x 13” wide x 3 1/2” deep (28cm x 33cm x 9cm). Because of the zippers it is considered for a Confident Beginner.
I decided to use this fun crafting fabric I had ...this will be my crafting tote ( I already took it out to a scrapbook classes...ladies loved it )
I used webbing for her handles instead of making the fabric ones.
For the interior I used a pink gingham & I made the slip pocket from the outer fabric.

This tote would look great in all kinds of fabrics...if you don't believe me check out the other testers versions...I love the one made form the Cat in the Hat fabrics...great for a kids library tote!!

If you like this pattern and want it win it...
All you have to do is leave a comment here ..telling me "what you do in your spare time"
...if you have any? ?? ( I sleep)
On February 9th....The Radom-thingie will pick a winner....

...if you don't want to wait to make your own tote...pop over to Emma's shop and buy the pattern and support a first time designer
...I am sure we will see more wonderful design by her!

Happy Sewing!

I love the pattern of the tote and -indeed- it would make a perfect libary tote and I urgently need one.
Beside patchwork and quilting I have more hobbies than free time. I love to read, watch movies and make a lot of sports, and I cook, and I have a family...

  13. Hi Liz,
sparetime ?? Is that the time between comming home from work, cooking and falling asleep beyond the TV ? I´d love to write that I do Ikebana, yoga, lots of sports, scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, but that´s not the truth. I try to knit and sew, but not much because winter makes me fall asleep before 9pm most of the evenings :-/
    hugs
