Billy revised....

you may remember the Billy cupboard was to high for my cutting table....well, my hubby finally cut him down....
Before ......
After......
Shorting a Billy cupboard is possible...but beware of a few things....

...the wood did chip a bit...( cut with the inside up) ..maybe the blade wasn't the best ?? Not sure what caused the chips but a little paint fixed it up.
... he added the top piece of wood...make sure it overlaps the sides a tiny bit...then you won't see the chips. He screwed the top on using tiny little L-brackets...
I painted the wood ( precut shelving left over from old sewing room )
I distressed it a bit...
Viola...Billy becomes old!
Happy Sewing!

If you taping some packing tape where you want to cut, it wouldn't splinter.
